All-clear given at MedStar Washington after hospital officials say no active shooter

Police say an all-clear signal has been given at MedStar Washington after hospital officials confirmed there was no active shooter threat. A lockdown was also lifted at facilities near the hospital.

MedStar officials said they were investigating "some kind of incident." According to D.C. Police, a man wearing dark clothing walked in and made a threat.

A lockdown was lifted at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, the Washington Hospital Physician Building, and Children's National Medical Center. There were no reports of injuries.

Due to police activity, roads were closed on 1st Street, NW from Michigan Avenue, NW to Irving Street, NW.
