Syrian state media accused the U.S. of carrying out airstrikes Monday, causing deaths and injuries, but the U.S. military has denied having a role in the supposed attacks. Citing a military source, Syrian state media claimed that U.S.-led coalition aircraft bombed "one of our military positions" in al-Harra, southeast of Albu Kamal, in eastern Syria. The report provided no detail on how many people were killed or injured but claimed that there were "several martyrs and others were wounded." Major Josh Jacques, a U.S. Central Command spokesman, said: "No member of the U.S.-led coalition carried out strikes near Albu Kamal."
