Jewels, Other Items Seized From Najib Residences Worth $274 Million, Malaysian Police Say

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—It was, police said, the single largest haul in Malaysian history: up to 1.1 billion ringgit ($274 million) worth of handbags, luxury watches and jewelry seized from residences linked to former leader Najib Razak as part of a sweeping investigation into alleged money laundering.

The inventory includes 12,000 pieces of jewelry with a total value of $109 million. There are 567 handbags, including ones made by Hermès, Prada and Chanel. And there are 423 watches, mostly made by Rolex, and about 234 brand-name...
